Boomerang (poem)

Everything you put into the world
Comes back, so they say
Life life is just one big
Well-thrown boomerang
One day our friendship, as part of life
Will be thrown into the world
Spinning, twisting, turning, flying
Separating this man and girl
But no matter time or distance
Be it night, or be it day
This friendship can be trusted to come back home
Life life’s great boomerang
The ties that bind these two friends
Could stretch for miles and for years
They can endure life’s hills and valleys
Bringing joy and comforting tears
It was not chance that we met
It was in God’s master plan
He is holding us in his hand
We are his boomerang
