Love (poem)

What is love?
Just a small, simple word.
But too often unsaid
Too often unheard
Love is a smile
A dance in the rain
Shared laughter and joy
A tear through the pain
Love is a voice
crying out in the dark
And the ears that hear it
offering their heart
Love is a friend
with a warm embrace
And seeing your truth
on your disguised face
Love is the solution
to problems left unspoken
And love is a promise
that can never be broken
Love is a gift
That’s better given than received
Because the rewards of love
reach farther than can be seen
Love is small and simple
Too often unsaid and unheard
But the love you share today
could, tomorrow, change the world.

I am a miniature girl in a not-so-miniature world. These are my adventures of living on a step stool, reaching for that which is always out of reach, and looking up at everything.
